Mission Statement: The Wellesley Youth Track & Field Club provides event-specific coaching and training in order to prepare young athletes to compete successfully in regional and national track & field competitions.

History:  The WYT&FC was founded in 2012 to promote track & field among young girls in Wellesley and surrounding towns.  Since its founding, the WYT&FC has doubled in size and has become one of the most successful clubs in New England and nationally.
2013 - The WYT&FC won three medals at the USATF National Youth Championships, and 10 members qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships, including the members of its 4x100m 11-12 girls relay, which recorded the fastest time in New England.
2014 - The WYT&FC won seven  medals at the USATF National Youth Championships, and 13 members qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships, including the members of 4x400M 13-14 girls relay team, which was the Regional 1 Junior Olympic Champion (NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME).
2015 - The WYT&FC was the top scoring team in 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16 girls age groups at the USATF New England Junior Olympic Championship, won four medals at the USATF National Youth Championship, and 20 members qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships, including the members of its 4x100m 11-12 and 13-14 girls relay teams, which were the Region 1 Junior Olympic Champions (NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME).
2016:  The WYT&FC was the top scoring team in the 11-12 and 13-14 girls age groups at the USATF New England Junior Olympic Championship, won three medals at the USATF National Youth Championship, won one medal at the New Balance Nationals, and won the Open USATFNE 4x1600m Relay New England Championship.

Club Teams

Wellesley Wings High School Track and Field Team

  • Open to high school girls interested in a high performance training program to prepare them for collegiate track and field competition
  • Practices at Dana Hall Shipley Center Track, Wellesley College Track, and Wellesley High School Track
  • Compete in meets throughout Massachusetts and Nationally
  • Tryouts occur in November

Girls Middle School Track and Field Team

  • Open to all girls entering 5th-9th grade interested in learning the basics of track and field
  • Practices at Weston High School Track on Saturday, Monday and Thursday evenings in May, June and July
  • Compete in five meets in New England, including the USATF Junior Olympic Meets
  • Registration begins in April
